Uniquely, Osteopathy does not treat any part of the body in isolation and instead explores the structure of the body, exploring how the best to treat the person in order to give them long term relief.
Most commonly, Osteopaths will treat back pain, but many conditions are improved by Osteopathy such as stress related tension, headaches/migraine, tendinitis, sciatica, work related injury, pregnancy and post-natal strains, unsettled babies, arthritis and muscle and ligament injuries.
A Osteopath can assess, diagnose and treat your injury through a combination of methods that may include: manual therapy, manipulation, acupuncture (dry needling), strapping and/or exercise prescription. Education plays an important role in Osteopathy. The goal of Osteopathy is to return you to your optimal function and strength.

Shockwave therapy or ESWT (Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy) is an effective treatment for a few different conditions. It has proven to be very useful in conditions like plantar fasciitis, tendinopathies (Achilles Tendinopathy, Tennis elbow, etc) and stiff and reduced movement in the shoulder,

Extracorporeal Radial Shockwave Therapy is a series of high-energy impulses to the affected area.

How does it work?
1) Treatment produces an inflammatory response. The body responds by increasing metabolic activity around the site of pain. This stimulates and accelerates the healing process.
2) Shockwave breaks down scar tissue and possibly calcification as well
3) Transmission of pain is blocked by elimination of P substance.

There is a vast amount of evidence to support K.Laser and it has been shown to help with conditions like osteoarthritis. It’s fantastic post-surgery because it can really speed up and improve wound healing. It’s also great on muscle tears and ligament sprains because of this speeded up healing process!

The Perrin Technique™ is an osteopathic approach that manually stimulates the fluid motion around the brain and spinal cord to help improve the symptoms of ME/CFS. Manipulation of the spine aids drainage of toxins out of the cerebrospinal fluid. Massage of the soft tissues in the head, neck, back and chest direct all the toxins out of the lymphatic system and into the blood, where they are eventually detoxified in the liver. Eventually with no poisons affecting the brain, the sympathetic nervous system begins to function correctly, and providing the patients do not overstrain themselves their symptoms should gradually improve and in time some patients become totally symptom free.

Applied kinesiology (AK) is the study of muscles and the relationship of muscle strength to health. It incorporates a system of manual muscle testing and therapy.
